Replacing the fan should only take a few minutes, and once his tech returned the laptop he would check it out again to make sure everything was still in order. The double sided tape on my keyboard surprisingly was less stubborn than expected and my keyboard came out unscathed. One hopefully last round of testing would take the rest of the evening, but after that was finished, the new laptop would be ready for shipping. I ended up pulling my hard drive and removing a few more screws, and I ended up able to get at all of the tape on the underside of the touchpad.

It depended on what was available once the laptop arrived at ASUS and the replacement paperwork was processed. I couldn’t use the touchpad for more than a few minutes without it losing its mind and no longer responding to my touches. Do you already have an account? Also what component in the HDD is causing this keyboard disruption?
Another call was made to ASUS for more troubleshooting. Fastening system for 24 pins cable to clip on the motherboard.
Was it a pre-B3 chipset? After reassembly, my touchpad has NONE of the prior issues, and I am pleased to finally report that I have a working touchpad. I still feel burned by the overall experience, but at least there is the opportunity for a relatively happy ending.

If your original charger has I haven’t noticed trouble with the keyboard. I love the laptop, but this problem is irritating. This is an embarrassment for ASUS. I have G73JH 98ohyeahDec 16,in forum: When I got to the underside of the touchpad, I noticed that there was a significant amount of tape gunk left where I pulled the tape off. The Icrontic community is strong, and the readership her is pretty vast, but the company can still recover from this ordeal before the same story pops up again on a bigger site where millions of people will read it within a day. The laptop returned and after a few minutes of tinkering, things seemed exactly the g73nh as they were when it was sent in.
Everything seemed to be working again. I am facing this Touchpad problem as well and I notice that it starts a while after turn it on and when I press around the touchpad.
The tape on the bottom edge of azus bottom of the touchpad was covering up a couple of ribbon cables for the buttons, but is completely unnecessary. I went MSI and we’ll see how it does.
